Born and raised in the Philippines, the Candidate was exposed to a very active lifestyle at a very young age. This activeness translated easily when he joined and served in the United States Coast Guard right after high school. He realized then that he had a passion for fitness, health, and overall wellness; hence, he pursued and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Southern California (USC).
Up to today, the Candidate has been a student of sport, fitness, exercise physiology, exercise psychology, rehab, and overall health. Since USC, he has been a personal trainer for over 20 years and co-owned In Shape Personal Fitness for 16 years. In Shape, Personal Fitness had allowed him to develop, start, grow, and then sell a business from scratch. Since selling his business in Los Angeles, his journey now continues here in Arizona. This journey has been a blessing in his life, and he is thankful for the growth that it has given him.
