Soccer Star Franchise welcomes another new IFPG Consultant Candidate in McKinney, TX! These Candidates are huge believers in community, staying active, and the importance/value of youth enrichment programs. As parents to three young children, they have experienced the good, not-so-good, and in-betweens related to the quality of programming and curriculum in their community. In doing so, they found themselves discussing how meaningful it would be to offer a first-class, proven, engaging, and fun sports experience to families in their market.
At the same time, they were unaware of any franchises in this space and found themselves exploring service-based franchises at the start of their business ownership search. At one point, they shared that a youth enrichment franchise "wasn't even in their realm of thinking" despite having firsthand experience with programs in this space. Once they were introduced to Soccer Stars and started learning the ins and outs of the best practices, curriculum, support, and core values, they strongly pivoted their search to focus on Soccer Stars!
Upon connecting with the leadership team, Franchisees and discussing the opportunity with their friends, family, and members of their community, they were adamant that this partnership was meant to be. She has been working in enterprise software sales for 10+ years, and he has been a police officer for the last eight years. Prior to this, he worked in security for an NFL team and also volunteered as a boxing coach to underprivileged youth for three years. They have three young children ranging from ages one through five. Both candidates are extremely passionate about maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle and thus were very much drawn to the "more green time, less screen time" mantra of Soccer Stars.
Over the past two years, they spent more and more time talking about the idea of starting their own business in hopes of creating an additional revenue stream for their family and more flexibility with their time in the future. Neither of them is ready to leave their full-time jobs just yet, so they will be hiring a General Manager to run the business under their guidance. One element of Soccer Stars that stood out to them was the fact that many of our Franchisees run classes/programming out of churches, as they are very passionate about and involved in their church community. Ultimately, one thing after the other proved to align with their vision and values as they continued through the discovery process. Once they attended Confirmation Day, they and the Soccer Stars leadership team quickly agreed that this was a match that was simply meant to be.
