About Lisa

Lisa joined IFPG in 2024 as senior editor of Franchise Consultant Magazine and FranchiseWire. Her extensive background in journalism includes leading regional and national magazines, and reporting for major daily newspapers and as a stringer for The New York Times. She also has worked in public relations and marketing.

In her role with IFPG, Lisa works with people in the franchise community to develop content about brands, franchise opportunities and trends, and provide a deeper understanding of franchising in general.

Her previous experience included serving as editor of the iconic SUCCESS magazine, leading its national relaunch in 2008 targeting a readership comprised of entrepreneurs and small business owners. In addition to building an editorial team and freelance network, Lisa personally interviewed and profiled entrepreneurs including AOL founder Steve Case as he led a “Rise of the Rest” bus tour showcasing entrepreneurial startups in the heartland, the late Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh as he launched a revitalization of downtown Las Vegas fueled by entrepreneurship, and the legendary (but grumpy) Ted Turner who asked, “Why do you keep asking these hard questions?”

Lisa's insights on IFPG

"I’m inspired and energized by my interviews with franchisors, franchisees and their team members. I always learn something that sparks ideas not only for their articles, but for future articles and trend stories. Entrepreneurs are some of the smartest, fiercest and most creative people, so being able to pick their brains is personally enriching for me. And I’m grateful for the trust franchisors and franchisees have shown in sharing their stories – not just the nuts and bolts of their businesses, but their hopes, dreams and big hairy audacious goals."
