Training
& Support:
Spherion
offers required, comprehensive role-based training for franchisees
as well as their staff and branch representatives. Our program
begins with pre-opening training as outlined in our FDD and
continues through regular operations with up to 80 hours of
operational assistance during your first month. Periodic training
sessions address topics such as client development, legal
requirements, marketing, coaching employees, and sales. This
training includes hands-on experience with our technology systems,
and can be provided in-person or virtually. We ensure our
franchisees are fully prepared to approach their local employment
market and succeed.
Spherion
owners receive complete back office and technology support for all
functions related to their temporary employees. We process employee
payroll, including taxes, insurance and benefits required by law.
We invoice the clients, manage collections and application of
payments as well as the W-2 process at the end of the year. Our
corporate office maintains, supports and troubleshoots all
technology, eliminating the need for technical expertise and
investment. Spherion's model allows you to focus on the business,
not in the business.
Spherion
owners enjoy a full range of sales and marketing tools to help
promote their business, including: digital marketing, SEO & SEM
support; sales collateral; print, radio, billboard and online
advertising; social media content; target account programs; direct
mail campaigns; salary data; thought leadership research; and
community giveback programs. You'll also receive ongoing support
from a tenured team of professionals-from accounting, payroll, and
technology to operations and marketing.
Other
Info
Spherion
offers two distinct models depending on the market selected. They
are:
Professional
Market Model
Spherion
Professional offices concentrate their staffing and recruiting
activity on technology-centric positions including software
engineers, hardware technicians, help desk specialists and project
managers. We help local offices develop the expertise, knowledge,
and connections to effectively serve private industry and the
public sector with technology staffing that meets clients' needs
for skilled, reliable talent. Besides the positive growth outlook
for technology staffing, our Professional franchisees enjoy higher
pricing margins than our general staffing model. While there is
demand for professional roles in all markets, Spherion is focusing
on professional franchising in the 25 largest U.S. markets. We also
support IT staffing services for existing general
staffing/commercial franchise owners.
General
Staffing / Commercial Model
Spherion's general staffing model
is available in many mid-sized cities and towns as
well as some rural areas. Spherion commercial office franchisees
primarily support light industrial and administrative positions
and, in some markets, professional staffing and recruiting as well.
General staffing market geographies typically cover single or
multiple counties. Spherion general staffing office locations are
most commonly located in shopping centers anchored by a landmark
like a grocery store or bank. The general staffing model always
starts with one office. However, franchisees often have the
opportunity to open multiple offices to provide better coverage of
assigned or expanded territory.
Competition
Spherion and the
entire staffing industry is enjoying robust growth thanks to a
rebounding post-pandemic economy and shifts in the labor market due
to employees rethinking their professional priorities and making
the leap into new, more fulfilling lines of work. Staffing Industry
Analysts, the global advisor on staffing and workforce
solutions, predicts 4% growth
for the overall staffing industry in 2022.
Spherion is outpacing that projection and expects the demand for
flexibility and scalability by clients to fuel growth through the
rest of the decade. Our strong candidate-client relationships and
exceptional service backed by the resources of the global leader in
human resources allows Spherion to cater to the ever-changing
demands of America's workforce.
