IFPG Ethics Committee

The IFPG Ethics Committee was formed to establish a standard and a level of continuity for the business practices of IFPG Consultants. Each of our committee members are accomplished and highly-regarded franchise professionals who were hand-picked for their stellar reputations and experience. Together, they created the Code of Ethics with thoughtful collaboration.

The Code of Ethics gives all members a clear understanding of IFPG’s expectations in terms of integrity and acceptable procedures. Our Code of Ethics upholds IFPG’s reputation for excellence and virtue in the industry and ensures candidates that their best interests always come first. Here, IFPG Ethics Committee members share what the Code of Ethics means to them.

“The Ethics Committee is a focal point of our business foundation and amplifies the guiding principles of IFPG. In creating it, we raised the bar for the professional and ethical character of our members and our organization. I am so proud to have played a part as this committee’s chair."

“Having a committee specifically for the purpose of defining and implementing ethics within the organization sets us apart from the other consultant groups. At the end of the day, if we conduct ourselves ethically and professionally, everyone wins.”

“I have always believed that my word and integrity is ultimately the most important thing I can give my candidates. When any consultant acts in an unethical manner, it gives the whole franchise industry a black eye.”

"The Code of Ethics creates a natural ‘trust transference’ with my potential investors.  It assuages their concerns and demonstrates our high standards and commitment to long-term, win-win dealings. As the saying goes, ‘You can judge the character of a person by the company they keep’…and I have always appreciated the high road IFPG takes in their business dealings.”

“Ethics in our industry is a huge issue today. IFPG has taken a stand to raise the bar of accountability in franchising. By signing an ethics agreement, IFPG can remove from membership the ‘bad apples’. Doing the right thing, not being driven by commissions, and spending necessary time with candidates has been my focus for nearly 20 years. That’s why in my work with hundreds or possibly thousands of candidates, I’ve never been sued or accused of having a lack of integrity. The majority of leads that I receive come from the referrals of happy and satisfied candidates/franchisees.  Don’t get me wrong, I like to get well paid for my services, however, that commission check does not drive my placements.”

I am honored to be a member of the IFPG Ethics Committee. This should be an important part of every business organization. It provides a level of trust to both our franchise company partners and our individual clients, showing that we value honesty and integrity and that we expect the same from all members. And it aligns perfectly with my personal motto: Doing the right thing is always the right thing!
