Training:

Scout & Molly's is committed to ensuring you are ready to go when you open your chic, new boutique and that you have the tools and training you need to operate a successful store.

During our training program, you will be taken through the important processes in running your own business. All aspects of the Scout & Molly's franchise are systematized to make it easy for you. Hundreds of hours of trial and error over the years have resulted in a comprehensive training program delivered in the classroom, virtually and in the field.

Training includes:

1 week at our corporate office for the owner and store manager.

Field Staff will provide Grand Opening assistance, including 2-3 days onsite at your new store to help you prepare for your debut. All field support staff are knowledgeable, experienced and available to franchisees.

Throughout the year, training may take place via webinars, e-training, video tutorials, small group meetings, or one-on-one, as needed.

Scout & Molly's corporate has created a password-protected Resource Center for franchisees to access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This online portal provides forms, documents, branded material, videos, social media images, marketing resources, and more. A forum to ask questions and share ideas with fellow owners and/or the corporate team is also available.

When you become a franchisee, training begins immediately. A member of the corporate team will initiate the relationship with a personal phone call to kick start this exciting process.

An operations specialist will then follow-up to walk you through the welcome packet, the pre-opening checklist and the resource center within days of the first phone call.

Franchisees receive and have access to ongoing training and coaching, including assistance with each boutique's build-out, curating and creating inventory for the Grand Opening and beyond. Ongoing field support will begin once the franchisee's store has opened. The corporate team will be on the road ensuring each store and owner is meeting and exceeding expectations for success.

As well, franchisees and reps from Operations, Marketing and Merchandising have individual quarterly check-in calls. These calls provide opportunities for the franchisor and franchisee to review sales goals, actual sales and overall progress on their financial strategy as well as addressing questions or trouble shooting on tech and software. Marketing calls include discussion of new campaigns, corporate tools and resources available, promotions for special events, and more. Franchisees also have regular calls with our Merchandising experts who teach and guide franchisees on how to buy merchandise, manage their inventory, run their sales floor, plan for sales and other events and more.

Our annual national conference features a variety of lively, interactive classroom style training sessions. Topics may cover fashion trends, inventory management, financial analysis of your business, best practices in staffing, customer interaction, social media and more.

Franchisees have easy access to the tools and resources in our Scout & Molly's Corporate Support Center.

We also provide weekly inventory analyst & productivity calls with each franchisee.

Buying a Franchise Guide: What is a Franchise Disclosure Document?

When evaluating a franchise opportunity, reading and understanding the current version of their FDD is a necessity. Considering the benefits of franchising, such as established brand recognition and support from the franchisor, it's important to also take into account franchise fees and franchising royalty fees. Since most franchisors are privately owned companies, the current versions of their FDDs are typically not available unless requested directly from them.
